Preamble, 'you knew my parents and Grandparents when you first came to Yorkshire in 1977.... we got back in touch through a mutual friend the vicar in Ventnor - now CEO of CMJ.
1. After University, you moved to Wakefield - tell us about that.
I became a Christian when I was young - at age 10, that decision toughened me up throughout school.
Moved to Wakefield for work in 1977. Found a church. Hockey. Working & Studying in Accountancy.
2. Tell us about the car accident that changed your life. How long were you in hospital?
Car accident on 30 May 1979 - I was 23. I was in the Spinal Injuries Unit in Pinderfields Hospital for 9 months.
3. How did your faith survive all of that?
Remembering teacher Miss Burgess – a survivor. Resumed work in Accountancy. Called into Ordained ministry in 1997 Ordained 1999.
4. When did you marry? Tell us about Jennie. Do you have family? Tell us about that.
Met Jennie through church. Bretton student. married in 1986, 7 years after the accident.
5. What is the Lake of Tears all about? God answered my questioning in a dramatic way - the vision of the Lake of Tears.
6. You retrained for the ministry in Durham and ended up in Hospital Chaplaincy – was that always your intention? No, I had a bit of a phobia about hospitals!
7. You were a full-time Chaplain at Leeds – what was that like? Tell us about some of your encounters?

8. What next?
Moved to IoW as Lead Chaplain at both the Hospital and Hospice. Special encounters with Sandi and Quaker Richard (God Bless).
What are you up to now?
Writing. Grandparenting. Speaking here and there.
