The background for our drama this morning is the Bible reading, which is Romans 12:1-8.
Puppet Dave has learnt to whistle and has a tune about the body he wants to share.

Dave: (KB waiting Dave comes up singing.) foot bone's connected to the ankle bone... the ankle
KB: Hello today's I’m going to talk about the body of Christ and parts of the body.
Dave: (Singing) The toe bones connected to the foot the foot bone's connected to the ankle bone... the ankle bone's connected to the leg bone
KB: Dave!
Dave: Yes, KB?
KB: Just stand quietly and look hanndsome. I want to talk about the body.
Dave: But, KB, I’m not just a pretty face you know. I know that you need me and I need you sometimes!
KB: I’m sorry Dave, now, let's study the body.
Dave: Church is like a body
KB: That’s right, each part of a body has a purpose.
Dave: Isn’t my necklace chain cool.
KB: What’s that got to do with anything.
Dave: I just think it hangs nicely round my neck
KB: Yes, it does Dave. But it would look silly if you had no neck to hang it on!
Dave: Don’t be daft, you need a neck to live.
KB: And your neck is connected to your headbone.
Dave: Your neck is connected to your spine.
KB: What would it be like Dave if your toe was a nose
Dave: My feel would smell!
KB: And if your belly had an ear?
DAVE: I would hear my tummy rumbling.
KB: What would you do without your lungs?
Dave: I'd be a gonner! (feins fainting) My lungs keep me alive.
KB: Each part of the body of Jesus has a purpose, Jesus is the head.
DAVE: Each person is important and has special gifts.
KB: You're right, Dave, that’s why we all need each other.
DAVE: [Starts singing] The toe bones connected to the foot bones connected to the ankle bone…
KB: Isn’t it time you gave your voice a rest …. Have you got a tune you can whistle for us as you go.
DAVE: Yes, see if you can guess what the tune is. [He whistles Shine Jesus Shine]
KB: [After people guess right] Let us say Bye to Dave…. ‘Bye, Bye.’
